Job Summary
Supervising all team work, developing a daily smooth maintenance plan, ensuring all required parts and tools
are planned for and available and coordinating the smooth and efficient accomplishment of all work.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring that all subordinates working on the assigned aircraft input are aware of related safety and
quality issues and ensuring that staff follows the correct references using the related tools to perform the task. - Ensuring availability of any information or reports required in respect of queries and questions related to work completion.
- Directly monitoring and controlling the production throughput of aircraft maintenance, including
effective use of available manpower, materials and other resources. - Managing and controlling the material and man-hour costs leading to respective invoicing of work to customer.
- Ensuring that all work cards raised have been clearly identified, completed, certified and that final certifications have been cleared, to allow work pack closure and that technical log entries have been accurately entered and certified.
- Ensuring all work assigned is accomplished with high quality standards, practices, completed in a timely fashion within approved capabilities of MRO’s and is performed/inspected by qualified technicians.
- Managing and assigning all work designated for the unit using the available staff (technicians).
- Encouraging adherence to all Health and Safety requirements, which apply to the work place together with being responsible for cleanliness and general tidiness.
- Preparing periodic reports with respect to the A&P activities and achievements to be submitted to the Manager, Hangar Operations.
- Following-up on subordinates’ affairs including vacations, leaves…etc.
- Carrying out performance appraisals for subordinates according to scheduled plans and recommending necessary actions.
Qualifications / Licenses
Diploma Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Certification as an Airframe and Power plant Mechanic (FAA and/or PCA)
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in similar field.
